Masturbation compulsive, consommation effrénée de vidéos pornographiques, multiplication des expériences sexuelles virtuelles… L’addiction sexuelle prend aujourd’hui une tournure de plus en plus virtuelle avec les nouvelles formes de dépendance aux images sexuellement explicites visibles sur les écrans. Observateur attentif des sexualités virtuelles des Français et plus précisément des gays qui constituent la moitié de son public, CAM4 a commandé au pôle « Genre, sexualités et santé sexuelle » de l’Ifop une enquête afin de mieux cerner leurs usages et leurs goûts sur les sites pornographiques, les plateformes de webcam érotiques et autres outils interactifs permettant l’échange d’images sexuelles. Réalisée à partir d’un échantillon à la fois représentatif (méthode des quotas) et significatif d’hommes attirés par les hommes (848 gays, bisexuels ou hétéros curieux), cette enquête met en exergue l’importance et les conséquences de l’usage des sites pour adultes dans cette catégorie de la population qui exploite plus que d’autres les possibilités de sexualités virtuelles offertes par les nouvelles technologies.
