Alors qu’elle parcourait Reddit à la recherche de nouveau contenu pour sa chaîne, la tiktokeuse Bekah Day est tombée sur un split screen qui montrait deux femmes, l'une âgée de 20 ou 30 ans et l'autre apparemment adolescente. « J’ai immédiatement pensé qu'il y avait quelque chose derrière tout ça », raconte Day. Elle a rapidement trouvé un compte Instagram : @coconutkitty143. Elle a découvert que les deux femmes sur la photo originale étaient en fait la même personne. Le compte appartenait à une créatrice de contenu pour adultes qui semblait éditer lourdement ses photos pour paraître beaucoup plus jeune.
