Des scientifiques de CyLab travaillent depuis des années pour trouver des moyens de détecter plus facilement les anomalies du trafic réseau. Il y a quelques années, le groupe de recherche a développé un outil de visualisation de données qui permettait de voir les modèles de trafic réseau. Et aujourd’hui, l’équipe a trouvé un moyen de les entendre.
Les données de cybersécurité sous forme de musique ?
Les analystes en cybersécurité traitent une énorme quantité de données, en particulier lors de la surveillance du trafic réseau. Si l’on devait imprimer les données sous forme de texte, une seule journée de trafic réseau équivaudrait à un annuaire téléphonique bien épais. Et détecter une anomalie serait comme chercher une aiguille dans une botte de foin. « C’est un océan de données », déclare Dr. Yang Cai, scientifique principal des systèmes de CyLab.
