Dès maintenant, un nouveau système de vérification est déployé un peu partout dans le monde. S'il est facultatif, il est obligatoire pour jouir de certaines fonctionnalités. Son fonctionnement est relativement simple. Pour vérifier votre âge, il vous suffit d'un papier d'identité valable, comme une carte d'identité, un permis ou un passeport, et envoyer un selfie pou confirmer l'identité. De nombreux sites usent déjà d'une stratégie similaire, qui a fait ses preuves.
Comme nous le disions ci-dessus, la vérification d'âge n'est pas obligatoire. Les joueurs n'ayant pas ce genre de papiers, car trop jeunes ne verront pas leur accès être bloqué. Simplement, certaines fonctionnalités, comme le chat vocal, seront moins complètes, ou des jeux réservés à un public plus mature leur seront interdits. Les développeurs précisent qu'aucune information personnelle ne sera stockée.
