Le réseau social britannique, qui propose surtout des contenus pour adultes accessibles par abonnement, affirme détenir 61 millions d’utilisateurs dans le monde.
A rebours d’Instagram et de Facebook, qui bannissent les contenus voire bloquent les utilisateurs dès qu’ils voient apparaître le bout d’un téton de femme, sur OnlyFans, la nudité n’est pas un problème. Bien au contraire : c’est devenu le fonds de commerce du réseau social créé par le Britannique Tim Stokely en 2016.
Surnommé « l’Instagram du porno », OnlyFans se décrit comme « un site d’abonnement qui permet aux créateurs de contenu de monétiser leur influence ».
