Un documentaire d'Arte revient sur l'impact de Gorge profonde, le premier film X accessible au grand public dans les années 1970. Un long métrage qui a aussi rendu célèbre Linda Lovelace, dont la vie a été brutalement écourtée à l'âge de 53 ans.
En 1972, en pleine révolution sexuelle, le film X Gorge profonde (Deep Throat) sort dans les salles aux États-Unis et devient rapidement un phénomène de société. Arte diffuse le 23 février un documentaire – Gorge profonde, quand le porno est sorti du ghetto – qui explore les liens du long métrage avec les évolutions de son époque (aussi disponible sur arte.tv jusqu'au 7 août). En réalisant ce film artisanal au scénario improbable (le clitoris de l'héroïne est niché au fond de sa gorge!), le coiffeur Gerard Damiano souhaitait toucher un large public et "légitimer" l’industrie du porno. Pari réussi.
