Malheureusement, la réalité du travail du sexe n'est pas toujours aussi glamour. Malgré les progrès réalisés par la société au cours des trois décennies qui ont suivi la sortie du film, nous sommes encore très loin de comprendre l’industrie pour adultes et la multitude d'emplois qui en relèvent. Par exemple, combien de ces emplois impliquent réellement des rapports sexuels ? Très peu. Arrive-t-il vraiment qu’un client providentiel comme celui joué par Richard Gere se présente ? Rarement. Mais « rarement » ne veut pas dire « jamais ». Pour en savoir plus, j'ai interviewé quelques femmes qui ont eu affaire à ces hommes fortunés.
