Des associations, luttant pour la protection des enfants, dénoncent l'absence de contrôle des âges sur les réseaux sociaux, et plus particulièrement sur Twitter.
Dans une tribune publiée dans le Journal du Dimanche le 2 mai, et relayée par NextINpact, deux porte-paroles d'associations de protection de l'enfance ont indiqué vouloir obliger les réseaux sociaux à se mettre en conformité avec la législation en vigueur concernant la protection des mineurs, quitte à demander leur suspension temporaire.
