Pour la CNIL, le contrôle d'âge sur les sites pornographiques n'entre pas en conflit avec le RPGD.
Après des mois de bataille juridique, le contrôle de l’âge sur les sites pornographiques a finalement été validé il y a quelques mois par l’ARCOM, fruit de la fusion entre le CSA et Hadopi. Certains sites avaient déjà cédé à la pression, d’autres attendaient la date limite pour se conformer aux nouvelles réglementations. Pour tous les détracteurs du projet, l’avis de la CNIL était particulièrement attendu, l’organisme ayant l’autorité nécessaire pour freiner le déploiement du dispositif de vérification de l’âge en cas de manquement avéré à la vie privée.
