Les films pornos ont d’abord existé dans les bordels et n’atteindront les salles que dans les années 70.
Le plus souvent, les histoires du cinéma l’ignorent. Ou ne lui consacrent que quelques lignes, le laissant dans la marge des genres plus nobles que sont le bis ou l’érotisme. C’est que le cinéma pornographique dérange. Ses visées sont immorales, son public déviant, son visionnement écœurant. Mettons. Stricto sensu, le porno désigne des films contenant des actes sexuels non simulés, avec pénétrations, sexes masculins en érection, et dans lesquels les participants jouissent devant la caméra, dans le but de provoquer l’excitation sexuelle du spectateur. Le reste relève du porno soft ou de l’érotisme. Telles sont en gros les définitions d’un genre qui n’a pas évolué avec les années, mais qui a en revanche connu son âge d’or, correspondant aux années de libération sexuelle qui traversèrent le monde.
