96 % des deepfakes sur Internet sont des détournements pornographiques. De par la facilité d'en créer, le "porno deepfake", qui concerne souvent les célébrités, commence de plus en plus à toucher des particuliers. Ce qui devrait nous inquiéter, nous et les pouvoirs publics.
Lors de leur apparition en 2017 sur Reddit, les deepfakes prenaient principalement la forme de vidéos truquées d'actrices de cinéma, dont les visages étaient incrustés dans des scènes pornographiques. À l'époque, le rendu était plutôt médiocre, mais déjà assez bluffant et inquiétant, car l'IA permettait déjà de réaliser des vidéos détournées très facilement, grâce à un logiciel simple : Fake App. Mais à l'époque, il fallait tout de même disposer de certaines compétences informatiques...
