Après Instagram, Meta déploie sa technologie de vérification d’âge à l’aide d’un selfie sur Facebook Dating. Le service de rencontre du réseau social veut ainsi améliorer la sécurité des enfants.
Pour rendre son service de rencontre plus sûr, Facebook intègre sa technologie de détection de l’âge à partir d’un selfie. Sous la forme d’un test aux Etats-Unis, cette fonction doit garantir la sécurité des enfants en les empêchant d’accéder à Facebook Dating. L’enjeu pour le groupe Meta est de s’assurer qu’aucun mineur ne puisse accéder à ce service réservé aux adultes.
